Easy Agile is looking for a passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our team, work on our internal systems and processes, and help us achieve our mission to make 10,000,000 agile teams around the world work better together. Our solutions are used by teams at Netflix, NFL, Disney, Lego, EA, Mercedes, Dell and Twitter and we are focused on serving our global customers while working locally and achieving balance.
If you love enabling your team mates, would love to be a part of a company with our values and want to work with us to scale up and punch above our weight, then Easy Agile is the place for you.
You care about software and your passion is clearly conveyed by your actions. You have demonstrated experience in delivering business value and delighting customers, and you possess a growth mindset which manifests in your drive for learning and sharing.
You are a guru of our entire stack**:
** Just kidding, we know this is unlikely, so we’ll settle for the desire to improve and master that stack.
As we said before, here at Easy Agile we believe in punching above our weight. This means that we use technology to enhance our capabilities and super charge our productivity. In the growth systems team we are passionate about providing the excellent tools that enable this. Some of the tools that we currently support are:
As part of the team you’ll be responsible for continuous improvement of our toolset and well… everything else. You’ll get to directly support the entire business and enable them to get the most out of the limited hours in their days. You’ll primarily do this by talking to team mates, observing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, creating solutions and implementing them.
We do not believe that engineers should sit quietly in the corner. We expect you to bring your whole self to work, demonstrate empathy for your internal customers and work closely with them. This approach requires a huge amount of team work and maturity and is not right for everyone, but we believe it’s the best way to create great software.
We work in 6 week cycles. 4 weeks on development, 1 week of paying down tech debt and an innovation week where you get to work on whatever you want!
We believe in being a big part of the community and regularly host events. We also travel to conferences and try our best to ride the tech wave.
Each member of staff is given a $5000 L&D budget which they are expected to spend on bettering themselves each year.
Please send an application that speaks directly to this position. There are no right answers or cookie-cutter expectations. Show us your role in Easy Agile’s future and Easy Agile’s role in yours. Address some of the work we do. Introduce yourself as a colleague. Give it a deep think and take this at your speed. We’re giving you our full attention.
We’re accepting applications until July 5, 2020 and all documents should be in PDF format. There’s no benefit to writing a novel. Keep it sharp, short, and get across what matters to you.
Next: We expect to take two weeks to review all applications. You’ll hear from us by July 20th about advancement to a phone screening and after that a take home assignment. Then on to an interview. Our interviews are four hours, all remote, with your future colleagues, on your schedule. We aim to make an offer by August 7th with a start date shortly after that.
We know this is a lot of work and there’s a lot on the line. It’s a significant career move to consider. We appreciate the generosity and courage that go into giving us that consideration. Our conversation starts with this post. We look forward to hearing from you.
