Easy Agile commits to pledging 2% profit: 1% going directly to Room to Read plus another 1% reserved for team member giving through Good Thnx and Open Collective.
Pledge 1% Product
Easy Agile donates licenses via the Atlassian Marketplace Community, Student and Open Source programs.
Pledge 1% Time
Easy Agile provides paid volunteering time to its employees. One day per quarter (four days per year) is allocated to volunteer projects, and this time can be taken on weekdays or on weekend with time in lieu granted.
The team has been proactive with their volunteering time, and they have undertaken work such as building websites for local charities such as Need A Feed, mentored students at the University of Wollongong, and facilitating Siligong Valley meet-ups.
Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in low-income communities by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Easy Agile has donated tens of thousands of dollars to assist Room to Read in achieving their cause.
Good Thnx Foundation provides a link between people and corporates that want to give back to charities. As our team send 'thanks' to one another the recipient is given $50 to donate to a charity of their choice. Our contribution via Good Thnx for FY21 was $15,201.
When Easy Agile co-founders Dave and Nick moved to Wollongong they didn't know anyone in the local tech community, and in fact there really wasn't much of a local tech community.
So along with Nathan Harper of Beer Mogul Games we kick-started Siligong Valley. Siligong Valley is a grassroots community of people looking to hone their craft, be that Javascript, marketing, product management, UX and more.
Siligong Valley is now home to hundreds of connected members who live, work, or commute from or to the Illawarra. To checkout the latest meetup or join the Slack channel.
Open Collective enables Easy Agile to support the maintainers of the open source software libraries that we depend upon to build, test and deploy our software.
